The South Dakota Medical Cannabis Program has issued a voluntary recall for certain products from 605 Cannabis, aka Badlands. Badlands has been accused of failing to test products, mislabeling, contamination, lack of inventory tracking, and failure to have licenses for edible products

The recall notice states: “Dispensary establishments shall contact and inform all medical cannabis patients that may have purchased any of the above products notifying them of the recall.” This unfortunately is not possible due to the fact that dispensaries are not allowed to keep customer data under state law.

If you are a patient who has purchased Badlands products, we encourage you to not hold the dispensaries responsible, as this is not their fault and encourage you to please wait to do anything with your product until next week.

At this time the South Dakota Medical Cannabis Program has stated: “Patients who have this affected medical cannabis in their possession should destroy it or return it to the dispensary from which it was purchased for proper disposal.” Doing so would put the financial burden of this unfortunate event on the patients and the dispensaries, which is why we ask that you wait to exchange product until Badlands is held financially responsible for refunding your money.
